Parent Teacher Association
As soon as your child joins the Junior School you automatically become a member of the PTA. You are invited and encouraged to support the events organised by them which aim to provide additional amenities for the benefit of pupils attending Stanley Park Junior School. The PTA organise many events to support and promote the interests and needs of the pupils during the school year - ranging from Summer Fairs, Table Sales, Family Activity Evenings. They also provide refreshments for other school functions - e.g. Concerts, Open Evenings.
The school greatly values the contribution and involvement of the PTA and hope that you will support their work. Children have benefited from PTA fund-raising in the following areas during the last few years:
- Development of the Quiet Area in Playground & Playground Equipment
- Books for Class Libraries (£3000)
- New PE Equipment (from our Times Table`thon - £1500)
- New Musical Instruments (£1200)
- “Big Boards” for use during the Numeracy Hour
- Overhead Projectors and trolleys
- Support for the Year 6 Isle of Wight Residential Trip
- Computers for our School Library
