Parental Involvement

We value the partnership we have with parents and carers at Stanley Park Junior School. The importance of this partnership cannot be over-emphasised. We encourage you to become involved in the daily life and work of the school in any way you can.

Coffee Mornings

We arrange regular informal coffee mornings, where you can come along to meet other parents, and discuss school related matters with Mrs Lamy, Mrs Burridge and Mrs Quigley.

Family Learning Workshops

These cover a variety of topics in a fun and interactive way. Parents and younger siblings are invited to join us.

Helping in School

We welcome parents to come into school and become involved in a variety of ways:-

  • Listening to children read
  • Arts & Crafts -  In class or with a particular project.
  • After School Clubs -  e.g football/netball/gardening/ICT etc.
  • School Trips

If you are able to offer your help in any way, please speak to your child’s class teacher.  We also have an active PTA. Click Here for further information.

If you are able to help on a regular basis, we are required to carry out a DBS * check. This is completed online, and takes about 10-15 minutes. You will need to call into the school office with some identification. Information about the ID required can be found here.

(* DBS stands for the Disclosure and Barring Serivce.)
