Well-Being & Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care is provided by all staff at school, and we will contact you if we have any concerns about your child’s well-being or behaviour, or if we would like to let you know about a specific achievement.

If your child is anxious or worried about any aspect of school or home life or if you think that any situation at home may affect your child’s well-being and happiness at school, then it is important to let us know. You may wish to speak in confidence to your child’s Class Teacher, our SENCO,  Deputy Headteacher or Headteacher.

We have the expertise of our SENCO who, together with the Higher Level Teaching Assistant for Inclusion, co-ordinate a variety of support programmes which are delivered by our ELSA-trained staff. (i.e: Emotional Literacy Support Assistants). These programmes may cover assertiveness, friendship skills, social skills, self-confidence, and are linked to the Government SEAL (Social Emotional Aspects of Learning) resources.

We also have the facility to involve outside agencies to support your child if necessary (eg Bereavement support at Jigsaw and Behaviour Support Team Intervention.)
